Distribution: New Zealand

Distribution in New Zealand: Tidal inlet Parakai (Tattersall W.M. 1923); Lake Oturi, Waverley ( Hodge 1964); Avon-Heathcote estuary, Christchurch ( Jones et al. 1989), Lake Waihola (Wilhelm et al. 2002).

Remarks: Type material was not collected on the Terra Nova expedition, the species was described from New Zealand material sent to Tattersall W.M.

Ecology: Freshwater, estuarine ( Hodge 1964).
