Dorsal body of neonates/juveniles and 18% of adults with cross bands ( Fig. 1F View Fig ); body of other adults without obvious markings ( Figs. 1G, H View Fig ), but the scales around the mid-dorsal line on 51% of these adults grayish ( Fig. 1G View Fig ) or grayish green; some sheds with grayish green or even light orange ventrals; body scales smooth; vertebral scales enlarged and hexagonal; anal scale entire and subcaudals not divided.
