Type locality. Mount Owen.

Broun number: 4063.

Type material examined. 2 exx. Syntype (NHM): card-mounted, “4063.” [in Broun’s hand], “New Zealand. [red underline] \ Broun Coll. \ Brit. Mus. \ 1922-482.”, “Mt Owen \ 27-12-1914 ” [in Broun’s hand], “ Atopida \ montana ” [in Broun’s hand]. Syntype (NHM): ventrally card-mounted, same data as above.

Remarks. Broun (1921) studied two specimens collected on 27.12.1914 by T. Hall on Mount Owen.
