Type locality. Mount Arthur.

Broun number: 2819.

Type material examined. 1 ex. Holotype (NHM): card-mounted, “2819.” [in Broun’s hand], “Nelson”, “Mount \ Arthur.” [in Broun’s hand], “New Zealand. [red underline] \ Broun Coll. \ Brit. Mus. \ 1922-482.”, “ Veronatus \ amplus .” [in Broun’s hand].

Remarks. Broun (1895) studied a single specimen collected from Mount Arthur by Cheeseman and Urquhart.
