Type material examined. 1 ex. Holotype (NHM): card-mounted, “569”, “New Zealand. [red underline] \ Broun Coll. \ Brit. Mus. \ 1922-482.”, “Tairua.” [in Broun’s hand], “ Veronatus \ frontalis .” [in Broun’s hand].

Remarks. Described from a single specimen collected in Tairua (Broun 1880).
