Broun number: 3072.

Type material examined. 3 exx. Syntype (NHM): card-mounted, “3072.” [in Broun’s hand], “New Zealand. [red underline] \ Broun Coll. \ Brit. Mus. \ 1922-482.”, “Waimarino. \ Jany. 1909.” [in Broun’s hand], “ Veronatus . \ granicollis .” [in Broun’s hand]. Syntype (NHM): card-mounted, same label data as above. Syntype (NHM): ventrally card-mounted, “3072.♂” [in Broun’s hand], “New Zealand. [red underline] \ Broun Coll. \ Brit. Mus. \ 1922-482.”, “Waimarino. \ Jany. 1909.” [in Broun’s hand], “ Veronatus . \ granicollis .” [in Broun’s hand].

Remarks. Broun (1910) collected six specimens of this species at Waimarino.
