Type locality. Egypt .
Diagnosis. Length. (male) body 10.8–14.5 mm, wing 8.45–10.3 mm; (female) body 11.3–13.4 mm, wing 9.7– 10.2 mm.
Frons in females greyish tomented, parallel sided, frontal index in female 2.66–2.69; eyes bare; post-occipital rim narrow and short in male; wing veins pale yellow, R 4 with short appendix; abdomen whitish grey with 4 greyish brown longitudinal spots, the two median longitudinal spots forming a broad median longitudinal dark brown stripe.
Local distribution: Coastal strip, Upper Nile, Lower Nile, Western Desert.
Geographical distribution. China, Egypt, India, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, widespread through Palaearctic and Afrotropical regions.
