Type-locality. Arabische Wüste (= “Arabian desert”, Saudi Arabia).
Diagnosis. Length. (male) body 13.5 mm, wing 9.9 mm; (female) body 11.5 mm, wing 8.5 mm.
Frons in females with sides not parallel; frontal index in female 2.26; eyes bare; wing with yellow veins; abdominal tergites with 4 greyish brown longitudinal spots.
Local distribution: Coastal strip.
Geographical distribution. Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Syria.
Specimens examined. Ramleh, 12.V.1921 (1 ♂, Type of Ochrops farinosus ); Dekheila Marioute, IX.1924 (1 ♀); Dekhela, 24.V.1925 (1 ♂, Type of Ochrops farinosus ) (CUC); Ezbet El-Nakhl, 24.VI.1924 (1 ♀); Dekheila 15.IX.1929 (1 ♀) ( EESC) ; Dekheila Mariout, 24.V.1926 (1 ♀) ( PPDD) .
Remarks. Müller et al. (2012) mentioned this species as a new record for the Sinai Peninsula.
