The peniculus species-group (after Fibiger 2007).
The peniculus species-group is characterised by the following combination of characters: In the male genitalia the costa bears a triangular basal process; the ampulla is kidney-shaped; the pollex is asymmetrical; the phallus is bent, extremely long, U-shaped, and the coecum very long. The group comprises four species; one of them is described below
