Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Trinidad.— Brazil: AM ( Rübsaamen 1908, as Psyllidengalle), BA ( Barbosa 1999), MA ( Barbosa et al. 2003), MG ( Moreira 2005, Semeão 2006, Martins 2008), PB ( Gomes et al. 2009), PE ( Barbosa et al. 2001, 2003), PR ( Dalberto et al. 2004), RJ ( Robbs 1953, as Cerotrioza sp.; Lemos et al. 2000), SP ( Tavares 1921, as 'Psyllideocecidia'; Crawford 1925, as Cerotrioza johnsonii ; Nakano & Silveira Neto 1968, as Triozoida sp. near johnsonii ; Mariconi & Soubihe 1961, Silva et al. 1968, Brown & Hodkinson 1988).
Host plant. Psidium guajava (Myrtaceae) .
Comment. The record from Chile (Punta Arenas) by Burckhardt (1988) concerns Costa Rica (Puntarenas).
