Europe: United Kingdom.
Diagnosis.
The species belongs to the section Bracon Orthobracon Fahringer sec. Tobias (1986) of the subgenus Bracon Bracon and may be compared with B. exhilarator Nees, 1834, B. longigenis Tobias, 1957, B. munki Papp, 2011, B. pertinax Papp, 1984, and B. terebralis Tobias, 2000. B. albion differs from all above mentioned species by a combination of strongly enlarged fifth tarsal segment (Fig. 9 View Figures 2–10 ) and thickened antenna (especially in Europe; Fig. 6 View Figures 2–10 ).
Remarks.
A single female paratype of B. albion albion Papp from Denmark belongs to B. albion continentalis ssp. nov. Thus, the nominative subspecies is considered to be endemic of the British Isles.
