Distribution. Introduced. Neotropical; Galápagos: Floreana, Isabela, San Cristóbal, Santa Cruz.
Remarks. This is the most common and widespread species of the genus in the Neotropical Region, and is known to breed in carrion ( Tantawi & Sinclair 2013).
