Distribution. Introduced. Cosmopolitan; Galápagos: Floreana, Isabela, San Cristobal, Santa Cruz, Santiago.

Remarks. Adults of this species were found in humid and dry zones. Adults have been reared from decaying molluscs and swept from vegetation along seacoasts ( Bohart 1947).
