Distribution. Endemic (E.M. Fisher pers. comm.). Galápagos: Santa Cruz, San Cristóbal.

Remarks. This species has been collected in both humid and arid zones. This group of asilid flies are obligate fallen-tree dwellers, with adults perching on recently felled tree stems. Larvae of this group inhabit burrows of wood-boring beetles (E.M. Fisher pers. comm.).
