Telephorus fissicollis Fairmaire, 1884: 179 -180. Locus typicus: “Liban central”. [synonymized by Švihla 1999: 150] dahlgreni Wittmer, 1984; melanoscelis Kolenati, 1846; sudetica Letzner, 1847; vesubiella Bourgeois, 1893.
Distribution in Iran. Ardabil: Assalem between Hasthpar and Heroabad, 1,800-2,350 m ( Wittmer 1971, 1972, both as Cantharis fissicollis ). Generic records: NW Iran ( Švihla 1999), Iran (Gemminger & Harold 1 869 [ Persia occ.]; Jacobson 1911; Hicker 1925 [ Persia]; Delkeskamp 1977, as Cantharis fissicollis ; Kazantsev 2004, 2011; Kazantsev & Brancucci 2007; Yildirim et al. 2011; Fanti 2014; Koçak & Kemal 2015).
Distribution outside Iran. Armenia, Azerbaijan, Central and Southern parts of Europe and European Russia, Georgia, Lebanon, Turkey, Ukraine ( Kazantsev & Brancucci 2007; Yildirim et al. 2011; Fanti 2014).
