Material examined. Just one specimen seen in association with a sea urchin ( Diadema mexicanum ) at La Cacaluta, in the Huatulco region (CONABIO HJ011 ID 2206).

Remarks. This is an Indo-Pacific species that was recorded at Los Cabos (22°52´N, 109°53´W) and Punta Arenas in the southern Gulf of California by Wicksten & Hernández (2000). Marin & Anker (2009) recorded this species at Panamá. In Mexican waters, our surveys ranged approximately 1,600 km south to the Huatulco region, with this being the fourth record of the species on the Eastern Pacific coast.
