Type material: Holotype male, ( ZISP, gen.pr. Nr. 1981) Uganda, Mubende District, Kaweri Coffee Plantation , 19-29.X.2015, Sz. Safian & Gy. Ludanyi leg.

External characters. Head, thorax and tegulae with clinging yellow scales. Labial palpi brown, straight, twice shorter than longitudinal eye diameter. Antennae light-brown. Scapus thickened. Wingspan 16,5 mm. Fore wings light-yellow. Small transverse brown spot of scales in front of cleft. Small elongated brown spot on first lobe distally along inner edge. Also, similar but a little longer spot on second lobe distally. All five lobes on all wings apically ending with small brown spots. Hind wings of the same color as fore wings.

Male genitalia. Valves asymmetric. Saccular process on left valve long, almost reaching top of valve, arched, apically acute. Uncus narrow, relatively long. Saccus arched. Anellus arms wide, apically slightly extended. Aedeagus wavy, almost twice shorter than valve, with cluster of tiny cornuti.

Female unknown.

Diagnosis. The new species is close to Hellinsia punctata Gielis, 2009 ( Gielis 2009:251), from which it differs in the long saccular process on the left valve, absence of the saccular process on the right valve, wide anellus arms and the wavy aedeagus, while in H. punctata , the saccular process on the left valve is short, almost reaching the middle of valve in length, there is a process on the right valve, the aedeagus is not wavy but only curved basally and distally.

Distribution: Uganda.

Flight period: October.
