Remarks: Chinquihue is a new locality record for Saemundssonia (Saemundssonia) bicolor in Chile, based on a sample from Fulmarus glacialoides held in NHML ( Shchedrina et al. 2017). Palma (1994: 67) synonymised Saemundssonia creatopae under Saemundssonia (S.) bicolor and presented evidence showing that Puffinus creatopus is not a natural, regular host for this louse species.
