Range:— Peru and Bolivia (BE, CO, LP, PA); perhaps also along the Andes from Venezuela to Ecuador.
Ecology:— Fairly common; terrestrial and saxicolous, in humid forests; 250–1200 m.
Notes:— Distinction from A. pulchellum uncertain, but pinnae of A. poloënse are usually more deeply incised or lobed, halfway to costae or more along the acroscopic side. Differs from A. tabinense by smaller size, paler petioles and rachises, and occurrence at low elevation.
