Range:— Central Peru to Bolivia (CO, LP).
Ecology:— Rare; epiphytic and terrestrial in evergreen, but fairly dry montane forests or scrub; 2500–3100 m (down to 1500 m in Peru) .
Notes:— Habitally intermediate between A. pulchellum and A. harpeodes . Also similar to A. sessilifolium , from which it differs by the basal acroscopic pinna auricle cut at most halfway to the costae (vs. more deeply incised) and by commonly having 4–7 (vs. 8–12) sori on larger pinnae.
