Asplenium depauperatum Fée, Mém. Foug. View in CoL 7: 52, t. 15, f. 3. 1857.

Range:— Andes of Bolivia ( CH, CO, LP, SC, TA) and northwestern Argentina; southeastern Brazil, adjacent Paraguay and northeastern Argentina.

Ecology:— Fairly common; terrestrial on open ground on steep slopes, especially in ravines, in deciduous and semideciduous forests; 500–2700 m.

Notes:— Distinctive; all other Bolivian species with proliferous blade apices differ by their larger size, more erect growth, and much less deeply divided ultimate segments.
