Pseudopotto martini Schwartz 1996 View in CoL
Pseudopotto martini Schwartz 1996 View in CoL , Anthropol. Pap. Amer. Mus. Nat. Hist., 78: 8.
Type Locality: "Equatorial Africa".
Vernacular Names: False Potto.
Distribution: unknown; one specimen is said to be from Cameroon.
Conservation: CITES – Appendix II.
Discussion: A controversial taxon, based on only two specimens, both of uncertain provenance. Groves (1998, 2001 c) argued that the coalescence of a number of unique features sets it apart from Perodicticus ; but Sarmiento (1998) considered that it falls within the range of Perodicticus . McKenna and Bell (1997) recognized the genus, but did not assign it to either of their two subfamilies (Lorinae, Galagoninae).
