Material examined. Petro-UFS—559 (5 M, 29 F); size range: 5.41 ≤ CL ≤ 12.94 mm; average: CL = 9.38 ± 1.75 mm; CZUFS CRU- 00056. Penaeid—18 (3 M, 15 F); size range: 7.83 ≤ CL ≤ 12.59 mm; average: CL = 10.70 ± 1.38 mm; CZUFS CRU- 00223.
Stations. Petro-UFS—1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17; Penaeid—3, 6, and 9.
Distribution. Western Atlantic—USA (from Cape Hatteras to North Carolina), and Brazil (from Amapá to Santa Catarina) ( D’Incao 1995, 1998; Costa et al. 2003).
Ecological notes. From bay’s openings to 60 m, rarely at 420 m ( Williams 1984), higher abundance at 80 m (Costa et al. 2005). On mud, sand, organogenic and calcareous algae bottoms ( D’Incao 1995).
