Vernacular Names: Greater Large-headed Shrew.
Distribution: Dem. Rep. Congo, Rwanda, Uganda.
Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Discussion: Regarded as a full species by Hutterer (1986 c:79). Kasangaki et al. (2003) recorded the species from the Bwindi Impenetrable N.P. in SW Uganda.
