Description
Length: 8–16 mm (16 specimens)
Head including eyes broader, equal or smaller than apex of pronotum; blackblue; very densely and finely punctate; with dense, dark pubescence; antennae red, club sometimes entirely red or with only terminal segment dark.
Pronotum longer than broad (length:width ratio 1.13); lateral margin sometimes strongly sinuate, constricted towards base; very densely punctate; blackblue; with long, dark pubescence, directed apically.
Elytral ground color orangebrown, with two blackblue fasciae and one apical spot; the fascia in the middle not reaching the suture, the fascia behind the middle is broader, mostly reaching the suture (but dilated); the apical spot is sometimes reduced to a very narrow fascia anterior to apspecimen
Elytra more than two times as long as broad (length:width ratio 2.33); punctation more or less irregular, not very deep; diameter of punctures slightly larrger than intervals; apex more or less acute; with short, pale pubescence, and isolated dark hairs.
Legs blackblue to bluishgreen; tarsi lighter; tibiae slightly curved; with white pubescence.
Ventral surface blackblue or bluishgreen; with white pubescence. Aedeagus, pygidium and male sternum VIII, see figs. 21–25.
