Nomen nudum in d’Orbigny (1826: 276). — Type material: MNHN.F.FO545, syntypes. An earlier lectotype designation of a specimen from Cuba was invalid because that was not an originally included locality. — Current status: Neorotalia calcar (Deshayes, 1830) (WFD) .
