Nomen nudum in d’Orbigny (1826: 277). — Type material: MNHN.F.FO470.1, lectotype;MNHN.F.FO470.2, paralectotype.— Type species (OD) of Deshayesulus Fordham, 1986 , but this genus is a nomen nudum (ICZN Code Art. 13). — Current status: Globorotalia puncticulata (Deshayes, 1832) ( Lam & Leckie 2020: 202-203, pl. 16, figs 13-19, pl. 17, figs 1-20; pl. 18, figs 1-4, 7-8; WFD).
