candidus , Solecurtus View in CoL – Glibert & Van de Poel (1967: 128) noted that Solen candidus was not available from Renier, 1804, as a “ nomen nudum ” (actually an unavailable work by ICZN Opinion 316, 1954e) and proposed to credit the species to “Renier in Deshayes, 1839”). However, it had already been made available as Solen candidus Brocchi, 1814 .
