Margaretamys parvus Musser 1981 , Bull. Am. Mus . Nat. Hist., 168: 294.
Type Locality: Indonesia, C Sulawesi, Gunung Nokilalaki , 7400 ft (2256 m).
Vernacular Names: Lesser Margaretamys.
Distribution: Known only from 1830-2286 m in montane rain forest on Gunung Nokilalaki , but probably occurs elsewhere in mountainous C Sulawesi.
Conservation: IUCN – Vulnerable.
Discussion: The smallest of the three species and the most divergent in cranial and dental traits.
