Material examined: CHILE: Tierra del Fuego , river about 9 km W. of Cambineros, 54 degrees, 01 minutes S, 68 degrees, 55 minutes W, 1 pupal exuviae, 12–13.i.1986, M. Spies ( ZSM) .

A pupa from Chile close to A. nanseni and A. arenarius is described in detail in Andersen et al. (2010) and may well be the pupa of A. bilobulatus or one of the other Neotropical species with a pars ventralis.
