Type material: Holotype male, THAILAND: Pattaya , xii.1991, W. Schacht ( ZSM).
Diagnostic characters: The male imago can be distinguished from P. triangula by having a slight apical projection on the anal point, and AR of about 0.9, 8 dorsocentrals and a costal extension of 7 µm.
Etymology: From Siam, the old name for Thailand, and the Latin - ensis, belonging to.
Male imago (n = 1)
All measurements within the range of variation or less than 4 µm different from the range in P. triangula , all ratios within 0.02 of the variation in P. triangula , with the following exceptions or additions: Wing length/length of profemur 2.95. AR 0.91, terminal flagellomere 242 µm long, no strong apical seta. Dorsocentral setae 8, scutellum with 4 setae. Costal extension ( Fig. 75 A View FIGURE 75 ) 7 µm long, with false vein extending 160 µm long, postcubitus forked. Front femur 252 µm long, ta 1 of front leg 162 µm long, ta 2 63 µm long, ta 3 45 µm long; ta 1 of hind leg 189 µm long. BV 1 4.05, BV 2 3.76, SV 2 3.33. Anal point ( Fig. 75 E View FIGURE 75 ) triangular with apical projection; tergite IX including anal point with 16 setae; laterosternite IX with 2 setae. Gonostylus 51 µm long. HR 2.18, HV 2.66.

The species in known only from the type locality, a resort city in Thailand .
