Type material: Holotype male, TANZANIA: Tanga, West Usambara Mountains, Mazumbai , 4–13.xii.1990, ZMBN's Tanzania Expedition ( ZMBN Type No. 439).
Diagnostic characters: The accessory lobe of the inferior volsella and the long but not U-formed virga separates the species from P. tokaraneoa .
Etymology: From Latin cuneus, wedge, ala, wing, and – atus, provided with, having, referring to the cuneiform wing.
Male imago (n = 1)
All measurements and ratios within the variation of P. guineensis with the following exceptions and additions: Total length 1.49 mm; wing length 1.04 mm; total length/wing length 1.42; coloration pale brown with darker vittae; AR 0.44; inner verticals 5, all rather long ( Fig. 90 D View FIGURE 90 ); palpomere length (in µm): 18, 23, 32, 32, and lost; third palpomere as in Fig. 90 E View FIGURE 90 ; wing cuneiform ( Fig. 90 F View FIGURE 90 ), without anal lobe; costal extension 94 µm long; R 4+5 ending above or slightly distal to apex of M 3+4; all tarsi lost; hypopygium ( Fig. 90 G View FIGURE 90 ) with 43 µm long anal point with setae and microtrichia to apex; tergite IX with 11 setae; laterosternite IX with 1 seta; phallapodeme 57 µm long; transverse sternapodeme with weak oral projections; virga ( Fig. 50 E View FIGURE 50 ) 57 µm long, about as long as gonostylus; superior volsella not pronounced, reaching to 0.54 gonocoxite length; inferior volsella reaching to 0.71 gonocoxite length, with accessory lobe to 0.81 gonocoxite length; Gonostylus with rounded preapical crista dorsalis.

Unknown.
Distribution
The species is known only from the type locality, near a mountain stream in Tanzania .
