Distribution: (Afrotropical): Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Mauritius, Namibia *, Nigeria, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania and Uganda; (Palaearctic): Saudi Arabia.

Host-plants: Finger millet, Eleusine coracana Gaertn. and Indian goosegrass, E. indica (L.) Gaertn. ( Poaceae ).

Parasitoid: Apotetrastichus Graham sp. ( Hymenoptera : Eulophidae ), reared from larva ex Eleusine indica in northern Nigeria.
