Genus Scyliorhinotheca nov.

Type species: Scyliorhinotheca goederti gen. et sp. nov. described below.

Etymology: From Scyliorhinidae , the catshark family that presumably produced those egg capsules; and from Latin theca, envelope, capsule.

Diagnosis.—Egg capsules generally having the elongated,

inflated fusiform shape of those of living catsharks ( Scyliorhinidae ), with or without longitudinal ribs.
