Diagnosis. Unusual in the iridescent peacock green sheen ( Figs 39 View FIGURE 39 , 40a, b View FIGURE 40 ) on both the carapace and abdomen of males and females.

Etymology. The species epithet is in honour of ant taxonomist, Rudy Kohout, who collected some of material with ants and who, to 2013, has named 112 new species of ants.

Description holotype male QM S31548 View Materials

Carapace 1.96 long, 1.40 wide. Abdomen 2.04 long, 1.44 wide. Total length 4.0.

Colour: carapace and abdomen dark brown with iridescent peacock green sheen; femora dark brown, patellaetarsi progressively paler to yellow brown, sternum, coxae and ventral abdomen dark red brown, maxillae and labium brown. Carapace: highly pustulose, with large white feathery hairs laterally and several fine setae around eyes; steeply sloping sides rising to short straight fovea; posterior striae shallow, rest indistinct, clypeus almost vertical; shallow groove around lateral margins. Eyes: front row recurved, back strongly procurved; all of similar size. Chelicerae: small, vertical, with long but not thick setae over fang; two small close teeth on retromargin, one large and one smaller basal tooth on promargin. Labium: wider than long, inclined but flat. Maxillae: rhomboidal, with basal mound narrowing anteriorly, inner edge with short flat face. Sternum: pustulose setose, domed, indented opposite coxal bases; intercoxal triangles long between I/II and II/III, almost joining carapace between II/III. Legs: Trochanters III and IV with shallow notches, less evident on I and II. Scopula entirely absent. Viewed laterally, femur IV with sharply constricted predistal step; similar by less steeply demarcated on femur III. Large white feathery scales on femora. Scopula absent. Tibiae III and IV wider from base to about 2/3 length. Coxae IV much the largest; all with basal triangular processes entally. RCH a pinhole. ca. 5 trichobothria in straight line on tarsi. Spines: I: fe p1d2; pa v1; ti v2.2.2; me v2.2; ta 0. II: fe d2; pa 0; ti pv1.1 rv1.0; me v2.2. III: fe p2d3r2; pa 0; ti p1r2v1.2.2; me p2r2v0.2.4 in distal whorl. Abdomen: dorsal scute pustulose, iridescent with large feathery scales, scute fused anteriorly to genital scute, extended forward over pedicel in collar, longer ventrally than dorsally; dorsal scute a full cap almost extending to ventral scute; ventral scute on extensive shield from genital scute to tracheal spiracle marked by transverse ridge and an anterior mound on ridge; genital scute without paragenital brackets but with large triangular`wings' over booklungs. Spinnerets: all small; ALS larger than PLS.

Allotype Female QM S32644 View Materials as ♂ except as follows:
