Material. Holotype male, BRAZIL, no date, with the following labels: a) Coll. L. Salvator; b) Brasilia; c) Holotype Catulona apaga Rolston ( USNM). BRAZIL, Espírito Santo: Linhares, Bananal , 10X1971, J. M. Lima leg., 1 female ( DZPR); Rio de Janeiro: Rio de Janeiro , rep. R. Grande, 9I1967, F. M. Oliveira leg., 1 female ( UFRS) .
Rostrum reaching the middle of urosternite V.
Abdominal venter finely covered by short setae, unpunctured; mesial, longitudinal sulcus extending from sternite III to V, obscure on VI; stripe between the spiracles and the abdominal margin conspicuously punctured in black punctures, covered by setae.
Distribution. Brazil: Espírito Santo (NEW RECORD) and Rio de Janeiro.
