Type locality and specimens. Gymnas. Johann., Hamburg 2 Exemplare.— Fundort [locality]: Zanzibar .

Dimensions. Länge des Körpers [body length] 50 [mm], der Endbeine 17,8 Mm. [length of ultimate legs 17.8 mm].

Type material. Syntypes 2 ( ZMH-A0000657-658 ). TANZANIA: Zanzibar [ca. 6°08’S, 39°21’E] GoogleMaps .

Remarks. The specimens were originally part of the Gymnasium Johanneum collection in Hamburg.

Current systematic position. Junior synonym of Rhysida longipes (Newport, 1845) according to Kraepelin (1903: 148).
