Dimensions. Länge des grössten Exemplars [length of the biggest specimen] 40 mm.
Type material. Syntypes 2 ( ZMH-A0000615 , ZMH-A0009327 ). AUSTRALIA: Western Australia, Yalgoo (station 77) [ca. 28°20’S, 116°40’E] GoogleMaps .
Preservation. 1 jar: Label. Cormocephalus turneri Poc.var yalgooensis Krpln Typus Yalgoo W.Austr. 15. VII.05 Coll. Michaelsen VI.08. (Kraepelin handwriting) .
Old type catalogue. Weidner (1960), p. 67, No. 36. Syntypes 2.
Type status. Kraepelin (1908) did not specify the number of specimens in his original description and the present specimens are syntypes.
Collection remarks. The specimens were collected by Wilhelm Michaelsen during his expedition to Western Australia 1905.
Current systematic position. Junior synonym of Cormocephalus turneri ( Pocock, 1901) according to E. Koch (1983: 824).
