Type locality and specimens. Mus. Godeffroy , Hamburg 1 Exemplar.— Fundort [locality]: Ponapé (Carolinen-Inseln) [ Caroline Islands] .

Dimensions. Länge des Körpers [body length] 47 [mm], der Endbeine 7,0, Breite der Endbeine 2,4 Mm. [length of the ultimate legs 7.0 mm, width 2.4 mm].

Type material. Holotype ( ZMH-A0000583 ). MICRONESIA: Caroline Islands , Pohnpei (“ Ponapé ”) [ca. 6°53’N, 158°14’E].

Preservation. 1 jar: Label. Cupipes amphieurys Kohlr. Originalexempl. M.G. 15290. Ponape Carolinen (Kraepelin handwriting) ( Fig. 3C ).

Old type catalogue. Weidner (1960), p. 68, No. 45. Holotype.

Remarks. The specimen originally belonged to the private Museum Godeffroy in Hamburg.

Current systematic position. Cormocephalus amphieurys ( Kohlrausch, 1879) ; transferred by Attems (1930: 102).
