Old type catalogue. Weidner (1960), p. 63, No. 31. Syntypes (number not specified).
Type status. Attems (1911a) did not specify the number of specimens in his description and all specimens of the type series are syntypes.
Additional type material. Type material (syntypes) including microscope slides, from Bridgetown (no. 7012); Broome Hill (no. 7013, 7015) and Dongara (no. 7014) are held at the NHMW; see Ilie et al. (2009: 20) for details. There are syntypes from Broomhill, Brunswick and Yalgoo at the ZMB (no. 5166, 5166a–c) .
Collection remarks and note. The specimens were collected by Wilhelm Michaelsen during his expedition to Western Australia 1905. Crabill (1964) noted that some specimens do not agree with the original description. Considering the pronounced regional endemism in this region (e.g. Rix et al. 2015; Harms et al. 2019), the present syntypes almost certainly belong to multiple species.
Current systematic position. Ribautia conifera (Attems, 1911) . Assigned to the genus Ribautia Brölemann, 1909 by Ribaut (1923: 71) and elevated to species level.
