Type locality and specimens. Südperu [Southern Peru], am 23.5. in 520m bei Sivia [near Sivia] .

Dimensions. 12 mm lang [12 mm long].

Type material. Holotype. PERU: Ayacucho Region, Sivia [ca. 12°30’S, 73°51’W].

Old type material. Weidner (1960), p. 61, No. 4. Holotype (as Ballophilus peruvianus ).

Collection remarks. The specimen was collected during the Hamburger Südperu-Expedition in 1936 and sifted from moist soil in rainforest habitat.

Additional remarks. The specimen was destroyed by fire in World War II ( Weidner 1960).
