Type loccality and specimens. Südperu [Southern Peru], Sivia am [at the] Apurimac, 520 m, 13.5.1936 ; Uferzone des Apurimac [Apurimac river bank], 14.5.1936 .
Dimensions. Entwickeltes Stück von 56 mm [adult specimen is 56 mm].
Type material. Holotype, 1 paratype. PERU: Ayacucho Region, Sivia [ca. 12°30’S, 73°51’W]. GoogleMaps
Old type caltalogue. Weidner (1960), p. 70, No, 70. Holotype, paratype 1.
Collection remarks. The specimens were collected during the Hamburger Südperu-Expedition in 1936 and come from “ Urwald unter Steinen und unter Rinde ” [rainforest under rocks and tree bark]. Apurimac refers to the Río Apurímac.
Additional remarks. The specimens were destroyed by fire in World War II ( Weidner 1960).
Current systematic position. Junior synonym of Cormocephalus andinus ( Kraus, 1957) ; see Perustigmus alticolus Verhoeff, 1941 .
