Diagnosis. The structure of the parameres is characteristic of this species: the two-pointed processes arise from broad bases, and the shoulders are prolonged into narrow processes ( Fig. 13 View FIGURE 13 C).

Other male characters. Body length 1.4 mm. Head. Eye strongly narrowed ventrally, eye bridge 7–8 ommatidia long dorsally. Scape length 1.5 × pedicel length. Antennae broken, maximum of 7 flagellomeres retained. Fourth flagellomere ( Fig. 13 View FIGURE 13 B): neck as long as node, circumfilum extremely pale, only basal pores visible. Palpus 3-segmented. Terminalia. Gonocoxites broad, ventral emargination broadly U-shaped, membranous at base of U, antGA very short, thick ( Fig. 13 View FIGURE 13 A). Gonostylus slightly curved, excavated dorsomedially ( Fig. 13 View FIGURE 13 A). Ejaculatory apodeme as long as parameres ( Fig. 13 View FIGURE 13 C). Parameres ( Fig. 13 View FIGURE 13 C): basal portion subrectangular, apicomedial portion twice as long as wide.

Etymology. This species is named after Wendy Porras, an INBio-trained parataxonomist who manages all the field work related to the ZADBI project.

Holotype. Male, Costa Rica, San José province, Moravia, Zurquí de Moravia, 1600 m, 22 Oct. 2012, CDC light trap, ZADBI Project ( ZADBI #163, INBio #105272).
