Distribution: S Central African Republic, Dem. Rep. Congo, W Kenya, Rwanda, S Sudan, and Uganda. Possibly in Omo basin, Ethiopia.
Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (nt).
Discussion: Formerly included in callipygus , but separate according to Groves and Grubb (1974).
