Diagnosis: Males of P. juakalyi have a broad RTA, its dorsal margin with a longitudinal narrow excrescence, a large MA with tooth-shaped anterior excrescence, an elongate FC, and proximal part of tegulum with rounded anterior prong. Females are recognized by the epigyne with large roughly H-shaped dark pattern.
Etymology: The species name is a patronym in honour of Jean-Louis Juakaly Mbumba who carried out a long-term study on the spiders of the Masako Forest near Kisangani.
Description: Male (holotype, MRAC 212011). Total l 5.05.
Carapace chestnut brown, covered by tiny warts forming a network with polygonal meshes. Carapace l: 2.70; w: 2.20. Fovea deep, clearly delimited. Sternum warted, l: 1.15; w: 1.35. Abdomen greyish brown, with a large, brown dorsal scutum covering 75% of do abdominal surface area.
Legs orange-brown, covered by fine warts.
Leg spination: fe: I pl 0-0-0-1-1 rlv 0-0-0-0-1; III do 0-0-1; IV do 0-0-1; ti: I ve 2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2; II ve 2-2- 2-2-2-2-2-2; IV plv 0-1-0; mt: I ve 2-2-2-2; II ve 2-2-2-2; III ve 0-2-0; IV ve 1-1-1.
Male palp ( Fig. 25A, B View Figure 25 ): RTA large with rounded extremity and long, narrow dorsal excrescence. PTA a fairly long rounded knob. Bulbus large and elongate. Embolus of median l, curved, tapered. MA large, broad, rounded at tip; distal margin in middle with tooth-shaped excrescence; FC fairly long, narrow from base, pointed at tip. Proximal part of tegulum with large, curved, ve prolongation, broadly rounded at extremity. PAPT large, with rounded tip pointing prolaterally.
Female (paratype, MRAC 212129). Total l 5.75.
Carapace as in male, l: 2.70; w: 2.20. Sternum warted, l: 1.20; w: 1.40. Abdomen greyish brown, without do scutum. Legs orange-brown, covered by fine warts.
Leg spination: fe: I pl 0-0-1-1-1 rlv 1-1-1-1-1; III do 0-0-1; IV do 0-1-1; ti: I ve 2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2; II ve 2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2; mt: I ve 2-2-2-2; II ve 2-2-2-2-2; III ve 0-2-0; IV ve 1-1-1.
Epigyne ( Figs 25C, D View Figure 25 , 38O View Figure 38 ): featureless area with sinuous posterior margin, indented in the middle; with internal structure visible in transparency, forming roughly H-shaped pattern. Copulatory openings near centre. Copulatory duct running forward, then backward to widely separate poorly delimited spermathecae. Without lobate ducts.
