Diagnosis.
Trissolcus ruidus may be separated from T. parma by the presence of rugae on the lateral frons (Fig. 86 View Figures 84–87 ) and longitudinal elements that are often present in the sculpture of the mesoscutum between the notauli. Like T. parma , it may be separated from the other members of the Trissolcus thyantae group by the presence of microsculpture on the mesoscutellum.

Holotype, female: UNITED STATES: AZ, Cochise Co., Portal, Southwestern Research Station (SWRS), 19.X.1978, Masner & Gibson, CNC No. 18341 (deposited in CNCI).
