Lectotype (Reveal in Jarvis & al. in Taxon 50: 520. 2001): Clayton 135 (BM-000038174).

Current name: Teucrium canadense L. ( Lamiaceae ).

Note: Epling (in J. Bot. 67: 6. 1929) described as “standard” a specimen in LINN, probably 722.19, which lacks a Species Plantarum number (i.e. “15”). He also noted the existence of a Clayton sheet which was later designated as the type by Reveal.
