Notes
Colonies are sub-massive or thickly encrusted often with thick club-like branches or robust cylindrical branches. Maximum recorded size: 1 m across. Corallites up to 4.0 mm in diameter. Colours range from cream, pale brown to green. Can be confused with Montipora or Acropora spp., with Montipora having much smaller corallites. Acropora forms thinly encrusting colonies without the robust columns that Isopora forms (Fig. 76).
