Distribution in Iran. Alborz ( Bodemeyer 1927; Farahbakhsh 1961 as Elater sanguinolentus Schrank ), Fars ( Farahbakhsh 1961 as E. sanguinolentus ; Modarres Awal 1997), Isfahan, northern provinces ( Modarres Awal 1997), Iran (no locality cited) ( Cate et al. 2002; Cate 2007).
