Female (aptera). Distended body length: 3.9–4.1mm. Bicoloured. Head brown, scarcely paler posteriorly, preocular prolongation between antennal bases yellowish; thorax and abdominal segments I–V brownish yellow, distinctly paler than head, pronotum shaded in posterior 1/2; abdominal tergites III–V each with a brown transverse median marking along antecostal suture, tergites IV–V scarcely shaded postero-laterally; abdominal segment VI brownish yellow, but largely brown in posterior half and the median portion behind antecostal suture, segments VII–IX and tube dark brown, segment VII slightly paler anteriorly. Antennal segments I and II pale brown, but base of I and apex of II yellowish, segment III brownish yellow, segment IV brown with basal 1/2 yellowish, segment V dark brown with basal 1/3 yellowish, segments VI–VIII dark brown. Legs brownish yellow. Prominent setae yellowish. Head ( Fig. 27 View FIGURES 27–31 ) elongate, longer than twice as long as broad, 2.15 times as long as broad in holotype, broadest across cheeks; dorsal surface smooth medially, sculptured with weak striae or reticulation laterally. Cheeks convex, strongly constricted behind eyes, weakly constricted near base; each with some short and stout setae, 20–25μm long. Postocular setae almost as long as their distance, or a little shorter, pointed; postocellar setae a little shorter than postoculars, pointed. Eyes small, ocelli vestigial.Antennae ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 27–31 ) short, about 1.5 times as long as head; segment VIII not constricted basally; segment III slender, 3.7 times as long as broad in holotype; sense-cones slender, setiform, but shorter than 1/3 length of the segment. Maxillary stylets deeply retracted, but not reaching postocular setae. Pronotum ( Fig. 27 View FIGURES 27–31 ) about 1/3 length of head, 0.33 times as long as head in holotype; dorsal surface almost smooth. Prominent setae pointed, am shorter than aa, pa and epim subequal in length in paratype (pa missing in holotype). Basantra and ferna well developed. Mesopresternum very narrow. Metanotum ( Fig. 30 View FIGURES 27–31 ) smooth, median pair of setae slender, 40–50μm long, 105μm apart in holotype. Fore femora moderately enlarged; fore tarsus with a vestigial tooth ( Fig. 29 View FIGURES 27–31 ), less than 10μm long. Pelta ( Fig. 30 View FIGURES 27–31 ) broadly triangular, lateral margins broad with corners rounded, weakly reticulate posteriorly, smooth anteromedially, without CPS. Posteromarginal setae on abdominal tergite IX sharply pointed, shorter than tube, S1 and S2 subequal in length. Tube ( Fig. 31 View FIGURES 27–31 ) shorter than head, 0.76 times as long as head, 3.0 times as long as broad in holotype, sides almost straight with some fine setae, weakly constricted at apex. Terminal setae shorter than tube.

Measurements (holotype female in μm). Body length about 4100 (distended). Head length 550, from anterior margin of eyes 495, width across eyes 241, maximum width across cheeks 256, minimum width across cheeks 214; eyes length 84, width 64; postocular setae 115–123; postocellars 100–110. Antenna total length 820, segments I–VIII length (width) as follows: 87 (55), 78 (43), 175 (47), 150 (48), 125 (45), 92 (38), 63 (32), 57 (21). Pronotum length 180, width 350. Setae on prothorax: am?30, aa?40, ml 70, pa?, epim 100–110. Setae on tergite IX: S1 310, S2 300–315. Tube length 420, width at base 140, width at apex 60; terminal setae 240–250.

Type series. Holotype: apterous female, Indonesia, Flores Is., Ngada , Aimere, 1,265m alt.,on grass, 27.viii.2005, SO . Paratype: Indonesia, 1 female (apt.), collected together with holotype .

Remarks. C. floresi is undoubtedly closely related to C. dolichos (Hood) described from Queensland, Australia, both of which are grass-living bicoloured species and have the similar shape of head, small fore tarsal tooth in female, and short tube. Although, dolichos has the head and antennal segments I and II yellowish, floresi has the head brown and antennal segments I and II brownish. Furthermore, floresi has a little longer head with deeper constriction behind eyes, and has longer postocellar setae.
